There is functionality available to follow patterns among respondents across surveys. To do this, it's necessary to configure how to track individuals across surveys.
Once the setup of individuals is complete, it's possible to create a chart to see how those who answered a specific option in survey A responded in survey B.
Here's how to proceed:
Create a filter for base selection:
- Create a filter that identifies the individuals you want to be able to select. For example: Those who answered "9" or "10", "January 2023" in the "Relationship Survey".
- Verify your filter to ensure you get the data you want as a base selection.
- It's possible to create several different base selections, for example, for different periods or different response patterns.
Create a cluster question:
- Create a new question in Analytics of type cluster and check "select all person's response rounds". Create answer options for the question through the filters you created as base selections. For example, "Satisfied January", "Satisfied February".
- Save the question. The system will now process the data and tag all relevant individuals with "Satisfied January", "Satisfied February", etc. for those individuals found in the base selections.
- Once the system has processed the data, you have a new quick filter for your base selections.
- When you retrieve the results from a survey and filter for satisfaction and the period "March 2021", you can both see the responses for all those who responded in March, but also filter or break down the results based on the same individuals' responses in "Satisfied January" and "Satisfied February".
Note:
- It's important to consider the data being viewed; it's not unreasonable to misinterpret what you see when using this functionality in an advanced way.
- This type of analysis can be demanding and should not be used on large datasets if quick answers are desired. If needed for larger datasets, samples are recommended, or building results specifically for this purpose.
- Do not use ongoing time filters to create base selections. For example, "Last 3 months" because the system will continuously tag individuals as part of the base selection. If you use a time period in the base selection, you need to use fixed time periods.
- It's not possible to create cluster questions based on filters built on cluster questions.
