Employers should clarify that harassment and discrimination are not tolerated in the workplace. Employers should take measures to counteract conditions in the work environment that may lead to harassment and discrimination. Employers should ensure that there are procedures for handling harassment and discrimination.
Managers and leaders should have knowledge of how to prevent and handle harassment and discrimination, and the procedures should be known to everyone in the workplace. The person conducting an investigation into harassment and discrimination should be competent, impartial, and conduct the investigation promptly.
