The area of Effective Teams can be sent out both as an individual pulse survey or as part of a larger employee survey.
The questions aim to measure how the employee experiences the work within the group. If the employee gives a positive answer and the group as a whole also shows a positive response, the group is likely to work well together.
If the employee gives a low response, their perception is that the work within the group is not functioning well.
If the group as a whole gives a low response, the group is likely to work less effectively and/or have a less favorable or even poor work climate.
Linked to IMGD (Integrated Model of Group Development), we want to add that the questions do not measure whether the basic components for the group are in place, but rather the experience of working within the group.
The questions also do not measure how productive the group is. It may be that the group members are very positive about how the work is functioning, but this cannot be equated with the group being high-performing.
