In all surveys where not all individuals have received or responded to the survey, there is a margin of error. The margin of error represents the uncertainty in how representative the respondents have answered compared to the total original group, for example, the total customer base or all employees.
To calculate the margin of error, one needs to consider the number of responses in relation to the total number in the "population" (all comparable customers or all employees).
Using significance calculation, it is possible to understand how high the margin of error is.
